How to love yourself and attract positive relationships: Sharanya Naidoo - Three Cups Full
In a world where everything seems to scream at you how not enough you are, it can be difficult to drwon out the noise and start to love yourself. But the way we view and treat ourselves directly relates to how others treat us.
Sharanya Naidoo is a relationship coach that helps women to love themselves and attarct positive relationships in their lives.
I first met Shar a year ago when she came to an event I held in Geelong. I was instantly struck by her smile and positive energy. We hit it off instantly, even though she is a Physiotherapist and I am a Chiropractor.
Although Shar trained as a Physiotherapist, she quickly realised that she prefers to solve people's emotional problems more than their physical ones. So she studied NLP among other things like reki and time line therapy.
Shar and I are both passionate feminists and we and a great conversation (which you can listen to here) about what it means to be a woman.
The role of women has changed so much in the last decade
We talked about how never before have women been so empowered. We do more than we ever have before, which is great, but also has its challenges. One being that we modern women now have no real role models to look up to as we are trail blazing. Great if you make your own rules and don't care what anyone things, but difficult if (like many of us) you are constantly wondering if what you are doing is "right". How do we know how to act if we have never had it demonstrated to us?
Trusting my intuition
That little voice inside your head can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Shar believes that connecting with and trusting your intuition is important for staying true to who you are and creating an authentic life that makes you happy.
Finding my voice
As a woman, speaking up and making sure we are heard can be difficult, Shar and I talked about how your passion can manifest as anger and how women are perceived as being aggressive when we speak.
Patriarchy hurts men too
And when we women become so strong, this leaves a gap for men too. Shar and I agree that feminism means that mean have the right to be feminine too.
I am so excited that Shar will be running a workshop on Sunday the 14th of August as part of my I want to be a Cosmopolitan Hippy 3 day retreat. Her session will help bridge the gap between what you learn on the weekend and how to implement it into your day to day life. Her workshop will cover setting intentions, gratitude and getting in touch with your intuition.
Check her out before the weekend and fall in love with her just as much as I have.
