Episode 11 of The F Words: Difficult conversations with Dr Leandra Brady-Walker is #Fanny: Yoni Palace: How loving your vagina is the way to self acceptance with Rosie King.
This was a conversation that I was both really excited and really terrified to have. I mean, it's not like I haven't chatted vagina's with my girlfriends over wines, but it's usually just giggling, nothing serious. But it begs the question, why am I so afraid to talk about a body part? Would I be so nervous and uncomfortable about talking about an elbow?
I was introduced to Rosie through a mutual friend Amber (I interviewed her for episode 7 #fine) and after stalking her just a little bit on the internet, I decided I had to talk to her. I'm glad I did, because she's super smart and open with all her knowledge about female sexuality, and she's really nice too. I felt totally comfortable to ask all my (and your) questions about the vagina.
This is a great follow on conversation from #feminine, so make sure you listen to that one too.

"Often when I am shut down sexually, I am shut down creativity."
"I remember when I lost my virginity as 17 I cried and cried and cried because I had just given away this thing I was meant to keep for my husband. So I had a lot of sexual shame up until I was about 26"
One Small Step:
Invest in an yoni egg to start the journey of self love.
Tune into your yoni and listen to your vagina. It speaks to us through smell and feelings.
See if you can get your partner to ask for consent before he enters you. Something as simple as that is a nice way to revere and honour the yoni and the feminine.
